The early photographer catches the bird! I did not arrive at the Reserve until around 11 on Wednesday, so clearly stood little chance of seeing anything very exciting - or even at all - but nevertheless I enjoyed my visit. It was a moment of calm in an otherwise hectic week, the sun was pleasantly warm on my back and the autumn colours a joy to behold. Here is what I recorded:

My visit was shorter than usual but still very enjoyable. There were reports of Crossbills and a Brambling the following day so I shall be looking out for them on my next visit.
