Ballachurry Reserve, Retrospective Work Party Photos

I am very grateful to Karen Griffiths (one of the hard working ladies who took over from me organising the work parties) for sending me some photos for the Blog. These were taken at the Work Party on September 16th while I was away on holiday. You can see everyone having a great time clearing streams, chopping back the willows, and enjoying a well deserved tea break, of course!

In fact, we had another work party last Saturday, 7th October, but while wrestling with  unwieldy willow branches,
blackthorn and brambles I completely forgot to take any photos - even during the tea break!  Suffice it to say that a great deal was achieved but that another session is already planned for 28th October when the main task will be seriously cutting back that blackthorn, which is encroaching on many of the paths. If you fancy giving us a hand do come along at 10 o'clock with some stout gloves and your own drink. You will be made most welcome and rewarded by cake!

With thanks to Karen for the photos - clicking on them will enlarge them.
