Despite being a very busy time of year so close to Christmas, 8 people were mustered on Saturday morning to do further work on the Blackthorn and brambles round the old beehive loop. First an area was cleared under the large Sycamore tree to make space for the cut vegetation to be stored. Then the approach paths received attention. Here are a few photos from the morning:

A morning's work very well done. Many thanks to MWT Southern Group for organising the work party, all Volunteers for their hard work and to the bakers for the wonderful cakes.
Wildlife seen during the morning: 3 x Ravens flying over croaking; flocks of Goldfinch and Redwing flying over; unidentified bird of prey ( possibly male Hen Harrier); Blackbirds; Mallards; Frog.
