Ballachurry Reserve -antisocial behaviour

I'm sorry to have to report that there was an incident of anti social behaviour on the reserve on Wednesday afternoon.  Four young teenagers were being rowdy, made a mess in the hide and also left graffiti on the elbow shelf. They were challenged by other visitors to the reserve and made to leave. It seems they had also been misbehaving on adjacent land. Earlier in the day the Reserves Officer visited the site and found burnt paper in the hide. A lighter was also found hidden on a shelf and removed. This has all been reported to the Police.

Should you witness any anti social behaviour on the reserve or ever feel threatened in any way during a visit please phone Castletown Police on 822222.  Calls are transferred to Douglas if the line is unmanned.
