Not my usual opening picture! The compost area.

  I took advantage of the fine weather on Monday to make my final visit of August to the Reserve. Here is what I recorded:
Birds:
SC209694  Mallard; juvenile Moorhen; Blackbird; Swallow flying over.
SC208694   Robin; Water Rail ( this was feeding by the boardwalk bridge. I didn't see it so put it up as I walked over the bridge. It flew off along the stream and vanished into the reeds. It gave me quite a fright!) 
SC209695 4 x Blackbirds together taking berries from Rowan near Private entrance.
Butterflies:

Very surprised to see there are still berries on the Rowan
