Colin Gartshore's forecast for Saturday at 8.15 this morning gives "
a bright day with sunny intervals and only scattered showers as winds
become light". So on the basis of this forecast the work party will go
ahead but, as always, please check your email / Blog before setting out as
things might change during the next 24 hours.
The
main task tomorrow will be cutting back some advancing reeds, then
raking out vegetation round their roots to improve water flow across the
front of the reed bed. If numbers permit we'll also be doing more
"brambling". You will need waterproof footware and your work gloves.
Sickles, loppers, secateurs, shears etc, if you have them although some
will be provided. Oh, and a mug! ( I'll try to remember a few spares)
I look forward to seeing some of you there tomorrow.
With thanks and best wishes,
Sheila.
