Ballachurry Reserve, 24th June 2016

There was not much time for recording wildlife at the grand hand-over on Thursday, 23rd June  so I returned the following afternoon for my usual Friday fix! Here is the report:

SC208694 Alder catkins showing signs of Alder Tongue Gall (Taphrina alni) as last year. Fungal pathogen.

SC208695 Common wasp on hogweed eating a fly. It neatly cut it in two, discarded the bottom half and devoured the  rest!
