Udea lutealis moths on cushag near the gate |
After the Work Party on Saturday I returned very briefly to the Reserve in the afternoon to collect some tools. A quick walk round revealed plenty of wildlife undisturbed by all the activity in the morning.
SC210694 Cushag ( Ragwort) near the gate attracting micromoths
SC208695 Plenty of Hawthorn Shieldbug nymphs ( various instars) on Rowan berries
SC208695 Wasps also enjoying the Rowan fruit
SC208694 Gorse Shieldbugs
SC209694 White fungi appearing in the woodchip paths - to be identified. Will be new record.
SC209694 Woolly Bear caterpillar ( larva of Fox Moth) - may be a new record, checking back.
(in fact I spotted this while working nearby in the morning)
SC208694 Dragonfly - probably female Common Darter or could be teneral - taking advice.
