Some interesting sightings on the Hide noticeboard from last week though. Why do I always seem to miss them?!

According to the Manx Bird Atlas, Pied Flycatchers are generally absent in the IOM although there have been occasional records mostly from the Calf of Man. So I'm sure Manxbirdlife would welcome hearing a little more about this sighting if the person concerned would like to report it (manxbirdlife.im)
The Redpoll appears in Recent Sightings at manxbirdlife and the excellent Redpoll photo there is probably this very one.
I hope to return to the Reserve on Sunday afternoon for a longer visit.
